Description
This is a website designed to showcase the NBA Minnesota Timberwolves, serving as a comprehensive fan resource for team information. The site demonstrates my ability to build content-focused, responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on clear information hierarchy and user experience. The website features four main sections: a homepage with a dynamic hero section highlighting key team moments, a team roster page introducing players with detailed profiles, a team culture page explaining the franchise’s history and values, a schedule page listing upcoming games, and a news section updating the latest team developments. Each section includes relevant visuals—such as player photos and game highlights—to enhance engagement. I built the site using semantic HTML5 for structured content (e.g., using <article> for news pieces and <section> for roster categories), modern CSS with Flexbox and Grid for flexible layouts (ensuring rosters and schedules display neatly on all devices), and vanilla JavaScript for interactive elements like schedule filters (to sort games by date or opponent) and mobile menu toggles. The design follows a mobile-first approach with responsive breakpoints at 768px (for tablets) and 1200px (for desktops). The visual design uses a team-aligned style, incorporating the Timberwolves’ signature blue and green color scheme as the primary palette, paired with neutral grays for text readability. I chose the Montserrat font family for its bold, sporty yet clean appearance, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all pages and devices
